BitPKI is a convenience service for loading trust anchors for the Spaces Protocol. For details about the protocol itself, please visit spacesprotocol.org.

Don't Trust, Verify: Unlike ICANN's unverifiable root DNSKEYs, you can build these trust anchors yourself. While we provide them for convenience, you should always verify them independently.

These root anchors are updated periodically, and establish the cryptographic trust foundation for applications built on Spaces.

How It Works

The Spaces client performs Client Side Validation (CSV) reading Bitcoin blocks and verifying the protocol state, summarizing it all into a Merkle tree root
Generates a trust anchors file which you see in this website
Applications can use it to verify space -> pubkey mapping by loading a Merkle inclusion proof & resolving records off-chain from Fabric DHT
